Course description

This course provides principles of Lone Working Awareness for front-line healthcare and social care staff. A lone worker (LW) in healthcare and social care performs tasks that are implemented in isolation from other staff without close or direct supervision. The law requires employers to think about and deal with any health and safety risks before people are allowed to work alone. The course ensures staff understand the practice and behaviour that improves lone working health and safety. A health and social care expert will deliver this course once a month as a live interactive course or you can take the course anytime as a self-paced online course.  This course covers knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of people working in the health and social care. Assessment includes multiple choice questions (MCQs).
