Course description

This course provides essential elements of Food Hygiene for front-line healthcare and social care staff. Food hygiene is the practice of properly chilling, cooking, cleaning food and avoiding cross-contamination to prevent the spread of bacteria in food. The course allows you to understand the preparation or handling food but work in an environment where food is dealt with elsewhere or who only work with low-risk foods. A health and social care expert will deliver this course once a month as a live interactive course or you can take the course anytime as a self-paced online course.  This course covers knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of people working in the health and social care. Assessment includes multiple choice questions (MCQs).
