Course description

This course provides essential elements of COVID Awareness for front-line healthcare and social care staff. Coronaviruses come from a large family of viruses that can cause respiratory diseases and gastrointestinal symptoms. The course allows you to understand the pathological and impact of coronavirus infection and it helps to prevent the spread this virus. A health and social care expert will deliver this course once a month as a live interactive course or you can take the course anytime as a self-paced online course.  This course covers knowledge, skills and behaviours expected of people working in the health and social care. Assessment includes multiple choice questions (MCQs).

  • How coronavirus spread,
  • The prevalence of coronavirus
  • People at high risk of coronavirus,
  • The symptoms of coronavirus,
  • Diagnosis and treatment
  • Busting the myths (Do’s and Don’ts)
  • Use strategies and tools to manage the spread of coronavirus
